Carved Colonnade

Carved Colonnade explores how ornament, structure, and craft merge into a single architectural system. The project combines traditional brick and CNC-milled sandstone to create a facade where structural elements become spatial and atmospheric at the same time.

The sculptural sandstone columns are digitally fabricated in collaboration with craftspeople and integrated directly into the architectural composition, creating depth, rhythm, and changing light conditions across the facade. Large openings, recessed balconies, and warm material transitions give the building a tactile and monumental character while maintaining a contemporary urban expression.

The project reflects an ongoing investigation into how digital fabrication and craftsmanship can shape future architectural building components.
