Ornament as Structure
Ornament as Structure is a residential facade study exploring how ornament can become an integrated architectural system rather than applied decoration.
The project combines handcrafted materials with digital fabrication through a facade composed of brick, sandstone elements, and sculptural metal columns. Repetition and variation create depth, rhythm, and light across the building while contributing structurally and spatially to the architecture.
Developed through a digital workflow, the project investigates how contemporary fabrication methods can reintroduce craft, material presence, and permanence into urban housing.
