Architecture, objects, and light shaped through digital fabrication
Mikkel Nielsen is an architect and designer working across architecture, objects, and lighting, with a focus on digital fabrication and material-driven processes.
His work explores ornamentation, repetition, and fabrication logic as structural and spatial principles rather than surface decoration, operating across both architectural and object scale.
Projects combine computational design with hands-on production, including large-scale 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC milling. The practice moves between serial production and unique works, where form, material, and fabrication are resolved through process.
Nielsen works with permanent objects as well as temporary structures, exhibitions and pavilions, often in collaboration with artists, manufacturers, and cultural institutions.
