Modular Light Structure

An installation for CHART 2026, Modular Light Structure transforms the courtyards of Charlottenborg into a sequence of light-defined spaces for movement, gathering, and interaction.

Built from repeated elements in wood, straw, hay, and 3D-printed biopolymer, the project combines natural materials and digital fabrication within a modular system. The structure mounts onto standard scaffolding, enabling fast assembly and adaptation.

Light is integral. Translucent elements guide movement through the space, shifting from tactile in daylight to softly luminous after dark, creating a continuous spatial presence.

Straw and hay reference traditional building methods, while the 3D-printed elements point toward new forms of production and architectural expression.

Developed across art, design, and architecture, the project is part of an ongoing series tested at Roskilde Festival (2025–2027) and designed for disassembly, reuse, and reconfiguration.
